Within the culinary jargon they are no strangers. Jan Gerard van der Wal and Wouter Brandsema. The famous restaurant ‘Sir Sèbastian’ has been one of true culinary gems back in the 1990’s. It was here where Jan Gerard as a patron-cuisinier cooked the stars from the sky

The bistro kitchen is well known for its honest, tasteful and pure dishes which are prepared in a straightforward way. No finery whatsoever. A lot of ingredients are regional, but for the truffels for example are imported from the Italian Umbria or the French Périgord. All ingredients are high quality and daily fresh. For example our dishes with coquilles Saint Jaques, Foie Gras, our famous risotto Aragosta with fresh lobster, lamb*, game and poultry*, asparagus* from Fryslân, delicious cheeses and lovely desserts. Finger licking good! The menu changes every five weeks, which is something that is familiar for a bistro. For in this way you can really taste the seasons. (*seasonal product).
